Ramses J. Dunker (Curacao, 1967) graduated with a major in Piano, specializing in South American music, from the World Music department at Codarts (the Rotterdam Conservatory). Alongside his studies, he performed alternately as an actor/singer in youth theater productions and worked as a pianist/percussionist/singer in (salsa) bands.
He has also spent a significant amount of time teaching, from primary to university level, and has often worked as a workshop leader. Influenced by his mother's side of the family (illustrators, painters, and graphic designers), he has been drawing and taking photographs since his early youth. While drawing took a backseat over time, photography was always easy to combine with performing on stage and in theaters. Recently, drawing and painting have come to the forefront again, particularly designing and making linocuts.
In addition to his work in the performing arts, he occasionally goes on walks with people, providing a space for those who find it helpful to share their thoughts and feelings.
He also assists and guides Ayahuasca ceremonies several times a year, where people come to process trauma and gain self-insight, and he enjoys making music at these special retreats.

Currently, he plays piano in the orchestra of the Dutch musical "Soldaat van Oranje" and is considering creating a podcast about and for creators of all forms of art and creativity.
